New anti-puncture tires appear in Vietnam.
A completely new self-sealing tire technology – Perfect Type – has just been introduced to the market, capable of preventing punctures even when the vehicle runs over a nail.

A flat tire while driving not only poses an unpredictable danger to the life and health of the driver and those around them, but also causes considerable inconvenience and risk...
In response to this situation, ST Vietnam New Technology Company (ST Vietnam) has just introduced Perfect Tyre self-sealing tire technology, the first of its kind in Vietnam. Widely used in military and civilian applications in Canada, tires coated with Perfect Tyre will be puncture-resistant, even when run over nails.

Explaining this, Mr. Nguyen Van Anh, Director of ST Vietnam, said: “The inside of the tire is coated with a self-sealing adhesive layer 3-5 mm thick. When the vehicle runs over a nail, this adhesive quickly seals the puncture caused by the sharp object, preventing the tire from leaking air. Because it is completely sealed inside the tire, the vehicle can withstand hundreds of punctures at the same time.”
Compared to liquid sealant-based self-sealing technology, Perfect Tyre has the advantage of not disrupting the tire's dynamic balance, ensuring stable vehicle operation. Furthermore, this technology prevents the sealant from coming into contact with the rim, eliminating the corrosion issues associated with liquid sealants. According to the manufacturer, Perfect Tyre lasts longer than the tire's lifespan and can be reused when replacing tires. This is considered a more economical puncture prevention solution compared to using run-flat tires.
According to the ST Vietnam representative: “With Perfect Tyre, customers can rest assured about the quality and effectiveness of this compound. Low cost, high reliability and safety, and environmental protection are the outstanding advantages of Perfect Tyre compared to other self-sealing sealants or run-flat tires on the market.”
At the launch event in Hanoi yesterday, July 5th, attendees witnessed and experienced firsthand the impressive demonstration of driving a car over steel nails driven into a tire. According to experts, the launch of Perfect Tyre puncture-resistant technology represents a new advancement in preventing unintentional tire punctures and tears, ensuring safety for both people and vehicles.
Currently, ST Vietnam has two manufacturing plants in Hanoi and its first showroom at 244 Pasteur Street, Ward 6, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. It is expected that ST Vietnam will expand to major cities and provinces nationwide in 2015. The processing capacity of a Perfect Tyre factory is approximately 500,000 car tires per year and 6,000,000 motorcycle tires per year. Notably, all processed tires come with a lifetime warranty.
