Low pressure area appears in Vietnam-China border area
(Baonghean.vn) - Storm No. 6 continues to move rapidly in the West-Northwest direction, moving deep into the mainland of Guangxi province (China), then gradually weakens into a tropical depression and moves rapidly in the West direction and gradually weakens into a low pressure area on the Vietnam-China border area.
04:00 on August 24, the center of the storm is located at about 23.2 degrees North latitude; 108.4 degrees East longitude, on the mainland of Guangxi province (China). The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 8 (60-75km/h), gusting to level 10.
Forecast for the next 6 hours,The storm continued to move rapidly in the West-Northwest direction, traveling 25km per hour, moving deep into the mainland of Guangxi province and then gradually weakening into a tropical depression. At 10:00 a.m. on August 24, the center of the tropical depression was at about 23.4 degrees North latitude; 106.5 degrees East longitude in the Vietnam-China border area. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6 (40-50km/hour), gusting to level 8.
Forecast for the next 6-12 hours,The tropical depression moved rapidly westward, traveling 25km per hour, and gradually weakened into a low-pressure area over the Vietnam-China border area. The strongest wind in the center of the low-pressure area decreased to below level 6 (below 40km/hour).
