Over the past eight months, the country's rice exports reached more than 3.8 million tons, 0.4 million tons lower than the same period last year, with a value of 1.64 billion USD.

According to a report by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the average export price of rice in the past seven months reached only US$429.07 per ton, a decrease of 5.33% compared to the same period last year. The reasons for the decline in rice exports are the abundant global supply of rice, the diversification of rice sources alongside Vietnamese rice by major and traditional importing countries to capitalize on competition among exporting countries, and the focus on research and investment in domestic production by importing countries.

Trung Quốc vẫn là thị trường nhập khẩu gạo lớn nhất của Việt Nam.
China remains Vietnam's largest rice import market.

Regarding markets, China remains Vietnam's largest rice import market, accounting for 35.21% of the market share in the first seven months with 1,330,000 tons, worth $524.7 billion. However, rice exports to this market are trending downward compared to the same period last year. Other markets showing a downward trend include the Philippines and Singapore.
