Taiwan labor export flourishes at the beginning of the year
According to reports from businesses, in the first two months of the year, the Taiwanese market (China) received 3,963 Vietnamese workers, dominating the job market.
According to the latest data from the Department of Overseas Labor Management (Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs), in the first two months of the year, the total number of Vietnamese workers working abroad was 15,605 (including 6,695 female workers), reaching 15.61% of the 2016 plan and equal to 90.69% compared to the same period last year.

Of which, Taiwan (China) market received the most workers with 3,963 people (1,775 women), Japan ranked second with 2,215 people and Malaysia ranked third with 503 people. The following countries include Saudi Arabia (118), South Korea (57)... and many other markets.
In recent years, Taiwan (China) has always been the market that receives the most Vietnamese workers. In 2015, this market also officially accepted Vietnamese workers to work in two occupations: household workers (taking care of the elderly and sick at home) and crew members of near-shore fishing vessels. The number of Vietnamese workers exported to Taiwan in 2015 was 67,000 people.
However, this market has also seen many fluctuations in the past year when the Chinese economy faced difficulties, factories stopped hiring more workers or reduced production and working hours. Some Vietnamese workers had to change employers or return home before their deadline.
More than 40 companies exporting labor to Taiwan have been administratively fined and suspended. The Overseas Labor Management Department also requires businesses to meet requirements on facilities and training time to rectify the practice of businesses illegally collecting fees from people, withholding wages, and deducting food and accommodation from wages.
