Touching poetry and music exchange program 'Drinking water, remember its source'
(Baonghean.vn) - With poems and songs by artists and wounded and sick soldiers, the Poetry and Music Exchange Program to commemorate War Invalids and Martyrs Day truly brought emotion.
On July 20, at Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association in coordination with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs organized a poetry and music exchange program to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2019).

Attending the program were comrades of the Provincial Party Committee: Doan Hong Vu - Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Ho Mau Thanh - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association; comrades in the Association's Executive Board; representatives of the Vietnam Writers Association in Nghe An, artists from the Poetry Association, Nghe An Spring Tao Dan and war invalids who are recuperating at the Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center.

The program was organized to pay tribute to the wounded, sick soldiers, heroes, martyrs, and families of policy beneficiaries who sacrificed their blood and bones for the cause of protecting the independence and freedom of the nation. It demonstrated the morality and responsibility of those who live in peace, especially the younger generation, towards their fathers and elders.

At the same time, through the exchange program, the artists hope to add motivation and strength to the wounded and sick soldiers being treated at the Nghe A Wounded Soldiers Nursing Center to ease the pain of illness left by the war.

With the theme “When drinking water, remember its source”, artists performed poems and songs praising the heroic feats of our army and people in the resistance wars, praising the brave and courageous fighting spirit of soldiers. At the same time, they expressed pride in the changes of the homeland and country and the will to overcome pain and continue to contribute the strength and intelligence of wounded and sick soldiers.

At the exchange, wounded and sick soldiers also brought touching poems and songs, expressing the thoughts and feelings of soldiers returning and leaving a part of their body on the battlefield. That is the solidarity of comradeship, the longing for those who have fallen, the pride in their achievements and the joy at the achievements of the renovation process.
