On the afternoon of February 17, during his classes, Mr. Nguyen Duy Khanh, a literature teacher at An Thoi High School, Phu Quoc, Kien Giang, and his students commemorated February 17, the 37th anniversary of the border war against the Chinese invaders.

Talking to us over the phone during a break between two classes, Mr. Nguyen Khang said he is a literature teacher. When he asked about historical events, especially the war at the northern border, the students did not know anything about this event.

"I am sad and worried. If today's generation of students do not know and are reminded of this tragic period, will anyone in the future remember this tragic period? I think I have to let the students know. Therefore, I did this for the four classes I have classes for this afternoon. I spent about 15 minutes telling them about this event. They listened attentively and emotionally, many of them cried. I asked them to take a minute of silence for those who fell in the war to protect the sacred borders of the Fatherland."

Many people also said that this was a truly meaningful action in terms of the most specific, profound, and educational reminder... for young people.
