(Baonghean.vn) - The rural low voltage power grid has been upgraded but not satisfactorily, many places are degraded but have not received timely investment, that is the opinion of voters sent to the 6th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Thinh - voter of Hamlet 1, Tang Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh) said: Since 2003, the commune's power grid system has been handed over to the electricity industry for management and applied the method of selling electricity at home. Currently, the power source is more stable than before, but the power transmission line system and low-voltage power poles are still unsafe, especially during the rainy and stormy season.

The reason is that in the past, people used manual methods, bought raw materials to cast and erect the poles themselves. Due to long-term use, most of them have now tilted, many poles are broken, and even the electric wire is stuck to the ground, which is very dangerous.

Although the power grid has been handed over to the electricity industry for many years, there has been no adequate investment. Storm No. 2 in 2017 broke many power poles. People have repeatedly proposed and petitioned, but so far the electricity industry has only invested in replacing 18 poles.

Especially in the movement to open roads according to new rural criteria, currently, in the hamlet, there are 6 electric poles located right in the middle of the inter-village road, causing loss of aesthetics and danger to people and vehicles when participating in traffic. The Commune People's Committee has made recommendations but Yen Thanh Electricity has not yet taken any remedial measures.

Mr. Ho Dinh Toan - voter of Quynh Thanh commune (Quynh Luu) said that since 2009, the commune has handed over the rural power grid to the electricity industry for management and has had many positive changes.

Previously, the whole commune only had 2 transformer stations, but when it was handed over to the electricity industry, 5 more stations were installed, so the electricity quality was more guaranteed, no longer weak as before. However, voters also requested that the electricity industry should check and monitor the electric pole system in some villages in the area.

Currently, many electric poles in Hamlet 11 are leaning to one side, in some places people have to use wooden poles to support the electric wires instead of using concrete poles. There are still short circuits and fires on electric poles due to overloading or rainwater flowing into the meter.

Mr. Pham Minh Duc - a resident of Hamlet 5, Quynh Thang Commune said that the hamlet has 91 households living there. However, for many years now, people have been living with weak electricity, affecting their lives.

Electronic devices in the house cannot be used, especially from 7pm to 10pm when all appliances such as televisions, electric fans, and even energy-saving light bulbs seem to stop working. Dozens of hectares of fruit trees are left fallow due to weak electricity sources that cannot be watered. Dong Xuan villagers hope that the electricity company will invest in an additional power station in the village or upgrade the power station to meet the needs of the people.
