* Mr. Tony Maple - General Director of Nghe An Sugar Company:

The investment environment is constantly improving.

I come from Australia, and my first impression of Nghe An province was the friendly and hospitable people. Nghe An Sugar Company (NASU) has a 19-year tradition of investing in Nghe An. Through the annual investment fair organized by Nghe An province, we have observed a continuously improving investment environment. We have received support from various agencies and departments, especially from the provincial leadership, in all related matters. We believe that with an open investment environment, a skilled workforce, and abundant natural resources, Nghe An will continue to be a destination for investors in the future.

* Mr. KAWASAKIGEMI – General Director of Enroy Vietnam Joint Stock Company:

The Vietnamese government and Nghe An province have provided us with maximum support.

As investors from Japan, we determined that when entering Vietnam, we needed to establish a presence in three key areas: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Nghe An. Ultimately, I chose Nghe An because the area we surveyed for investment received the best incentives from both the Vietnamese and Nghe An governments. We chose to invest in a factory producing anti-virus patches because, currently, these patches are widely used in Japan but are not yet available in Vietnam or other developed countries, while the demand is very high. After surveying the area, we selected the Dong Hoi Industrial Park in Hoang Mai town to locate our factory. If all goes as planned, we will officially begin production by mid-May. Initially, we will employ around 50 people, including many engineers. Based on our survey, the workforce in Nghe An is very well-suited to meet our company's needs, and we plan to expand production in the future…

* Mr. Nguyen Canh Nam – Chairman of the Nghe Tinh Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City:

Nghe An needs to leverage its "soft" advantages.

Ông Nguyễn Cảnh Nam

In 2001, people from Nghe Tinh province living in Ho Chi Minh City began returning home, bringing capital to do business in the sun-drenched land of Nghe An. Compared to previous years, it can be affirmed that Nghe An is now in a different position, not only in terms of investment environment but also in terms of socio-economic innovation. In the near future, the Nghe Tinh Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to seek new investment opportunities in Nghe An. Nghe An's advantages are not limited to conditions such as vast land, a large population, abundant natural resources, and a large market with complete infrastructure for investors, such as an international airport, seaports, highways, and industrial zones with complete infrastructure. Nghe An also possesses "soft" potential advantages that not every locality has: its people and culture. The people of Nghe An are hardworking, intelligent, and creative. This is the greatest competitive advantage that Nghe An has compared to other localities. In addition, other factors such as traditional culture and the people's strong sense of community are also key highlights when investors explore opportunities in Nghe An.

* Ms. Le Hoang Yen – CEO of Muong Thanh Hotel Group:

Sustainable development in partnership with the community.

Bà Lê Hoàng Yến
Ms. Le Hoang Yen

As a business owned by a native of Nghe An, when we decided to invest in Nghe An, we focused primarily on the tourism sector for two reasons: Firstly, Nghe An is a land of spiritual significance, with diverse ecological landscapes, a large and hospitable population, and a strong tradition of learning – many advantages for developing a civilized, modern, and diverse tourism industry (resort tourism, spiritual tourism, eco-tourism, etc.). Secondly, the hotel and tourism industry provides employment for a significant number of local workers, helping to increase income and improve living standards. In Nghe An, to date, the Muong Thanh Hotel Group has created jobs for over 1,000 employees, with an average income of 4 million VND per month.

We have observed that over the years, the leaders of Nghe An province have made significant efforts to create an open, transparent, and safe investment environment. Investments in infrastructure, transportation, planning, and urban management have made Nghe An more attractive. In addition, the annual investor meetings and business dialogue forums demonstrate the proactive approach of Nghe An provincial leaders in engaging with and listening to the opinions of investors.

Muong Thanh Group's goal is "sustainable development" closely linked to community and local development. Specifically in Nghe An, the Muong Thanh brand positions itself as a leading purely Vietnamese brand in the hotel sector, investing heavily in facilities that meet international standards, focusing on training and developing human resources, and offering reasonable pricing policies. Muong Thanh is also a brand that consistently gives back to the community through programs aimed at poverty alleviation, flood and natural disaster relief, creating jobs for local workers, building schools and hospitals, etc.
