(Baonghean.vn)- At around 12 noon on September 18, three students, Phan Van Phuoc, Dang Thi Ly, and Hoang Cong Mau, all from Phu Tap hamlet (Khanh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district), were swept away by the water on their way home from school across Phu Tap bridge on the Vu Giang river, one of whom is missing.

The reason was that due to heavy rain, the river flooded the road, so the three children got on a local's car tire to cross. When they reached the middle of the road, the strong current pulled the tire away and because they did not know how to swim, they were swept away by the water. Phan Van Phuoc and Dang Thi Ly were lucky to be rescued by local people in time and escaped death, while Hoang Cong Mau was unfortunately drowned by the strong current.
Yen Thanh district mobilized 3 canoes along with police, soldiers and local boats to search for Pham Cong Mau's body from 12 noon to 5 pm this afternoon but still could not find it.
