Yen Thanh: Dialogue on child policy

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 11th, Yen Thanh district organized a dialogue forum on policies related to children in extremely difficult circumstances, under the project "Promoting the rights of children at risk of abandonment" funded by Sida-Forum Syd and Adoptionscentrum Sweden.

The head of the District Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs answered questions directly at the dialogue session.

At the forum, delegates focused on discussing issues related to policies for children with disabilities, women, and children in particularly difficult circumstances, such as application procedures, eligibility criteria for benefits, disability percentages for children and their caregivers to receive monthly allowances, etc.

The delegate asked which groups are eligible for the monthly allowance increase.

Based on listening and understanding, representatives from the functional departments and agencies of the district and commune thoroughly addressed the difficulties, shortcomings, obstacles, and issues arising in the implementation of policies related to the rights of women and children.

Representatives raised questions about the procedures for disabled children to receive monthly allowances.

Representatives asked about the procedures and paperwork for guardians of children in difficult circumstances.

This helps people benefit from the project by raising awareness and gaining a more comprehensive and objective view of policies related to women and children.

The dialogue forum also serves as an opportunity to disseminate the policies of the Party and the State to the people. This is also an important basis for helping local authorities better formulate policies and provide better care for children with disabilities and children in particularly difficult circumstances, contributing to building a stronger Party and local government.
