Yen Thanh: Construction begins on "Red Scarf" houses.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 23rd, in Cong Thanh commune, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, in coordination with Yen Thanh District Youth Union, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a "Red Scarf" house for the family of Tran Bien Tung, a 6th grade student at Cong Thanh Secondary School.
Tran Bien Tung is the son of Mr. Tran Khac Sau, from a Catholic family facing extreme hardship. However, overcoming his circumstances, Tran Bien Tung has excelled in his studies, achieving the title of outstanding student for five consecutive years and being an excellent student leader.

The "Red Scarf" house of Tran Bien Tung's family is designed with four rooms, covering an area of nearly 80 square meters. The total cost was over 200 million VND, of which the Provincial Youth Council contributed 50 million VND, and the rest came from loans the family, donations from friends and relatives, neighbors, and labor contributions from local organizations and associations.

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union also participated in a meeting and discussion program celebrating Christmas 2015 with parishioners of Ngoc Long Parish, Cong Thanh Commune, and presented 9 gifts to 9 underprivileged students who excelled in their studies, each gift worth 500,000 VND.
