Yen Thanh: Wild boar attacks, two people seriously injured.

(Baonghean.vn) - At 12 noon on August 3, 2013, a wild boar weighing approximately 80kg unexpectedly entered a house and attacked a person. The victim was Mr. Le Minh Thu (a reporter for the newspaper Dan Toc va Phat Trien) in Hamlet 2b, Van Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District.

Mr. Thu said: "Just after finishing lunch, I was standing in the yard when suddenly the wild boar jumped over the fence, knocked down my family's betel vine trellis, and attacked me. I was so surprised that I didn't have time to run, and the wild boar attacked me, causing injuries that required many stitches on the back of my leg."

Mr. Thu's wounds were caused by a pig attack.

After that, it continued to climb over several fences belonging to other households, fleeing to the house of 60-year-old Mrs. Duong Thi Ngoc in Hamlet 2a of the same commune. Upon encountering Mrs. Ngoc standing next to a pile of straw in front of her house, it attacked her, causing serious injuries that required her to be rushed to the Yen Thanh District General Hospital for emergency treatment. With the help of many villagers, the pig was finally subdued and captured at 3 PM that same day.

Reportedly, this wild boar belonged to a household in Lang Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, who bought it to raise and it escaped from its enclosure three days ago.
