In the Spring of 2015, the People's Committee of Yen Thanh District continued to implement policies supporting agricultural production development. According to the plan, in the Spring of 2015, Yen Thanh District aimed for a total planted area of ​​13,570 hectares, including 12,700 hectares of rice and the remainder being other crops, with a target total production of 94,878 tons, of which 91,050 tons would be rice. The focus of intensive cultivation was on rice varieties such as AC5, Khai Phong No. 1, Nhi Uu 986, GS9, etc., and continued testing of new varieties such as Van Quang 14, Thao Duoc Vinh Hoa Thien Uu 8, etc. In addition, the district collaborated with Vinh Hoa Co., Ltd. and Nghe An Agricultural Materials Company to organize large-scale production of Thao Duoc Vinh Hoa rice and red rice varieties. Regarding the planting season for rice, based on the growth period of each variety, sowing seedlings should be arranged between January 5th and 30th, 2015.

The guiding principle for agricultural production in Yen Thanh in 2015 is to focus on transforming crop and livestock production, emphasizing the development of a comprehensive and diversified agricultural sector, increasing value per unit area, with a focus on strengthening joint ventures and linkages connecting production with product consumption. Emphasis is also placed on accelerating the implementation of the National Target Program for New Rural Development, striving for the remaining communes to achieve their goals ahead of schedule.
