Request for project establishment, replacement of raw water source of Quy Hop Water Supply Station
(Baonghean.vn) - The Department of Natural Resources and Environment has just issued an official dispatch requesting Nghe An Water Supply Joint Stock Company to implement solutions to completely resolve the problems related to domestic water supply in Quy Hop town.

Residents of Quy Hop town have to drill through rocks to find water for daily use.
(Baonghean.vn) - Building tanks to collect rainwater, buying filters; even spending tens of millions of dong to hire workers to drill through rock layers to find sources of water for daily use is the unhappy reality of many households in Quy Hop town.
The content reflects the problem of raw water pollution at Quy Hop Water Supply Station and the deterioration of water pipeline infrastructure in Quy Hop town, forcing local people to find all possible ways to create a source of domestic water.

Speaking with Nghe An Newspaper reporter on March 30, a representative of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment said: On March 27, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment issued Official Dispatch No. 1510/STNMT-NBHĐ on resolving the input raw water source for the Quy Hop District Water Supply Station to Nghe An Water Supply Joint Stock Company.

In the official dispatch, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment requested Nghe An Water Supply Joint Stock Company to survey, select a location, design, and establish a project to replace the input raw water source for the current Water Supply Station to ensure long-term stability.
Report implementation results to the Provincial People's Committee and Department of Natural Resources and Environment before April 30, 2018.
In addition, it is necessary to speed up the replacement of the remaining water pipes in Quy Hop town in 2018.
Also according to the representative of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, in October - November 2017, through analysis by the Center for Natural Resources and Environment Monitoring, it was determined that the raw water source input to Quy Hop Water Supply Station had indicators of total suspended solids (TSS) exceeding 2.13 times; Arsenic (As) exceeding 1.35 times; Surface active substances exceeding 2 times; Chromium VI (Cr6+) exceeds 1.05 times compared to QCVN 08-MT:2015 (Column A2) – National technical regulations on surface water quality.

Therefore, from November 22, 2017, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment issued Official Dispatch No. 6201/STNMT-NBHĐ requesting Nghe An Water Supply Joint Stock Company to replace water pipes; have solutions to treat domestic water to ensure compliance with standards; and coordinate with Quy Hop district to survey and select alternative raw water sources.
