(Baonghean) -It feels like coming here, I can touch history, and suddenly History is no longer dry with boring numbers. History always accompanies each person, each moment today...

“Today is a memorable day for me. I never expected that the place just a short distance from my house, the place that my mother and I used to pass by, which I visited with my teachers and friends during our extracurricular time, would be a place that still retains so many traces of a “heaven-shaking” revolutionary period. I saw the old days flash before my eyes.

Who would have thought that even the small booth still posted the match schedule of the Song Lam Football Team, which used to be harsh prisons that imprisoned and tortured many revolutionary soldiers. It feels like coming here, I can touch history, and suddenly I see that History is no longer dry with boring numbers. History always accompanies each person, each moment today..." (Excerpt from notes by Nguyen Pham Van Trinh, 9th grade student of Le Mao Secondary School, February 22, 2017).

There have been many such emotional lines after the tour and extracurricular activities at the Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum written in the museum's guestbook, in the harvest articles or even in the clumsy diaries of school-age children.

Most of the students said that those were their "most memorable lessons", because not only were there lectures, textbooks, and "unimaginably distant" stories, but those were the moments when they "touched history" and lived with the past of their homeland and its people.

For the past 10 years, starting from the 2006-2007 school year, when the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An to introduce Soviet Nghe Tinh history education into schools, nearly 10,000 students from high schools across the province have visited and studied at the Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum every year, many of which have maintained it as a regular, disciplined extracurricular activity.

The "handshake" between the two departments is also aimed at continuing to promote the XVNT tradition, strengthening education on historical traditions and revolutionary traditions of Nghe An in high school students, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education.

Not only extracurricular activities and tours, but the Department of Education and Training also coordinated with the XVNT Museum to compile extracurricular lectures on XVNT for 9th graders in junior high school and 12th graders in high school; and produced a science film "Xo Viet Nghe Tinh 1930 - 1931". All documents and science films have been printed and provided promptly to high schools throughout the province.

Carry out exchange activities, research, traditional talks, mobile exhibitions, research competitions, marches to red addresses, collect artifacts - documents about the 1930-1931 revolutionary movement and the 1930-1931 Revolution, make a list of ranked 1930-1931 Revolution relics for schools to voluntarily register for care.

And indeed, with many practical and persistent activities over the past 10 years, the mark of XVNT in the hearts of students is not small. “There are many schools and classes that initially learn about XVNT history, even going to the Museum is just a formality, a formality, but then after a short extracurricular session, teachers and students have a different perspective.

I felt it clearly when the lines of memories and impressions were recorded, or in the conversations, in the sincere thanks they told us - the museum staff that they were truly grateful for the explanations, grateful for the dedication of the museum staff, grateful for the artifacts that seemed to be silent and buried under the dust of time, but when they came here, they encountered it speaking out with a strong, boiling voice" - Mr. Nguyen Van Bich, Head of the Collection - Inventory and Preservation Department of the XVNT Museum shared.

Mr. Bich graduated from the History Department of the University of General Sciences and has worked in many places before coming to the XVNT Museum. He said that this stop made him satisfied, not only because he was able to do the right job in his hometown, but also because he felt that here, each of his colleagues was enthusiastic and passionate.

He is proud because he knows that any visitor who walks into the museum and asks anything about the XVNT movement, any staff here can answer clearly. What is more important is that every day, he is able to convey his inspiration and love for his homeland's history to many people, especially the young generation - the generation that "is easily robbed of time by games, by Facebook and thousands of other attractive things".

Mr. Bich is also one of the three administrators of the Museum's fanpage - a page that is liked and well-rated by thousands of people. He said he feels happy because more and more people, especially students at schools, after visiting the museum or after lessons about XVNT, come to this page to interact and ask questions.

As for Ms. Tran Thi Hong Nhung - Deputy Director of the Museum (Ms. Nhung is still very young, born in 1984), she shared: When she came to work at the Museum, it was also the first year that the two departments coordinated to educate XVNT traditions for high school students in the province.

She started her career as a tour guide and until now, when she became a manager, she still sticks to her original tour guide job. She said that she was so touched when she saw the round eyes and tears rolling down the innocent faces of the children when they came to this place and listened to her stories.

“When I mentioned each event, when I pointed to each artifact to tell the children about the Nghe An mothers who hid communist soldiers, about the way the Party printed and hid documents, about the bravery and intelligence of the XVNT soldiers, about the tortures that the revolutionaries endured in Vinh prison… I met the sympathy, admiration, surprise, and pain of the children. Then I witnessed the essays written by the children right under the trees in the museum yard, essays full of freshness, with the beat of love and pride in their hearts. I was filled with happiness and loved my sacred “bridge” job even more. A bridge connecting the past with the present, connecting the past with today.”

Discussing the plan for the following years, to further promote the traditional values of XVNT among the masses, especially students, Mr. Cao Van Xich - Director of the Museum said: XVNT Museum will adjust the display content to suit the age of children, innovate more attractive explanation methods.

Annually deploy and build thematic exhibitions; adjust and upgrade the interior of the exhibition house; cooperate with schools to develop a plan to coordinate the implementation of the "Young Tour Guide" exchange program; cooperate with the "History Club" of schools to improve the quality of cultural exchange activities, history learning competitions; expand connections and exchanges with collaborators to collect many research documents on XVNT.

Propagating the content of XVNT on mass media more widely. This is also a form to continue promoting XVNT tradition, strengthening education on historical traditions, revolutionary traditions of Nghe An in high school students, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education.

Let me end this article with the feelings of the students and teachers: "Up to this point, we understand that we have a beautiful, peaceful, and happy life thanks to the heroes who fought without fear of sacrifice and hardship" (Nguyen Thi Tuyet, student of Ngo Tri Hoa High School (Dien Chau):

“The heroic revolutionary tradition of our homeland will be the motivation for us to continue our studies as well as continue the heroic career of our ancestors” (student Luong Quang Dung, Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Visiting here is not only a valuable practical experience but also a profound lesson about dedication and gratitude” (teacher Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong - Teacher at Dang Thai Mai Secondary School).
