On the afternoon of March 16, the Inspectorate of the Department of Information and Communications of Binh Duong province coordinated with the professional units of the Provincial Police to continue working with Nguyen Thi Hong Tho (owner of the TikTok channel and YouTuber Tho Nguyen) about posting a video "asking for good study luck" causing misunderstandings in public opinion.

At the meeting, YouTuber Tho Nguyen realized that her violation was unintentional and apologized to the authorities and the online community for posting the video "asking for good grades" causing misunderstanding.superstition.

The Inspectorate of the Department of Information and Communications of Binh Duong province determined that the posting of the video "asking for good study luck" by YouTuber Tho Nguyen on social media is a violation of providing and sharing information promoting superstition. For the above behavior, the Inspectorate of the Department has drawn up a record and issued a decision to impose an administrative fine of VND 7.5 million according to the provisions of Point b, Clause 1, Article 101, Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP of the Government on penalties for administrative violations in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology and electronic transactions.

Tho Nguyen said that he has hidden all previously posted videos and will temporarily stop working on YouTube for the time being.

Previously, Tho Nguyen posted a video with the content of "asking for good study luck" on the social network TikTok, including 2 parts. Part 1 is the controversial video content, causing a stir in the online community, part 2 is a "correction" video, this is a normal doll and if you want to study well, you have to study hard, you can't pray for it.

According to YouTuber Tho Nguyen's explanation, due to TikTok's policy of only allowing each video to be posted for a maximum of 60 seconds and not continuously, there was a misunderstanding among the online community. After the incident, she and her team hid all previously posted videos and temporarily stopped working on YouTube for the time being.
