1,500 Youth Union members join forces to dredge the Nam Nghe An Irrigation Canal
Implementing the provincial youth project in 2013, on the morning of August 11, at Nghi Phu commune (Vinh city), the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee organized the dredging of the canal belonging to the Southern Nghe An Irrigation System. From 5 a.m., more than 1,500 Youth Union members from Vinh City Youth Union, Hung Nguyen District Youth Union, Nghi Loc District Youth Union, and Nam Dan District Youth Union dredged mud, collected duckweed, waste from the canal bed, and cleared bushes along a 3km-long canal leading to pumping station 16B, belonging to the Southern Nghe An Irrigation System.

Continuously on August 11 and 12, the union members of the units will carry out dredging of mud from the irrigation canal. This is a meaningful activity of the youth with the love of home, aiming to promptly fight drought, drain water and clean the environment, serving the production of the communes of Hung Dong, Nghi Phu, Hung Loc, Hung Hoa and the surrounding areas of Vinh city.
