(Baonghean.vn) - In the world today, there are up to 65 million girls who do not go to school. This leads to the fact that out of the 774 million illiterate people worldwide, women account for 2/3.
Another statistic shows that there are 33 million more boys in primary school than girls. This sad reality is mainly due to the fact that in poor countries in Africa or ethnic minority areas from China, girls are often not allowed to go to school.
According to statistics, if all women in the world were educated to secondary school, the annual child mortality rate would be reduced by half, equivalent to 3 million people; the child marriage rate would be reduced by four times.
It is clear that education is important for girls. That is why education organizations around the world are working to demonstrate that every child has the right to education, regardless of gender.
We invite you to view 10 photos showing the studiousness of girls in difficult areas around the world.
