In 2024,Nghe An Education sectorHe actively advised on the development of policies, mechanisms, and strategies for education. He submitted to the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee many important plans and projects aimed at the sustainable development of education and training, such as regulations on preferential policies for Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School; policies to support the training of Lao students; financial support for tuition fees for private primary school students; and policies to support ethnic boarding schools and high schools implementing pilot models of ethnic boarding schools in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
Over the past five years, the Education sector has advised and submitted 15 resolutions to the Provincial People's Council on education and training, creating mechanisms and policies for the comprehensive development of education throughout the province.

Continue to innovate in the management of the education sector and school administration towards integration, simplicity, effectiveness, and efficiency. This includes directing the acceleration of administrative reforms; strengthening the work of ensuring educational quality; building mechanisms for autonomy and accountability... Granting autonomy to units in implementing emulation and reward policies; aiming for substantive rewards to create motivation for excellent performance.

Completed three key tasks and breakthrough solutions for the academic year's development. These included implementing the 2018 General Education Program in all grades and classes in a systematic, flexible manner, and according to the planned schedule.
Continue to effectively implement the construction of high-quality key secondary schools; advanced school models in line with international integration trends; build a new type of boarding school environment in primary and secondary schools; and pilot ethnic minority boarding high schools. The emulation movement "Department helping department, school helping school, subject group helping subject group" will continue to be effectively implemented.

The 2023-2024 school year marked the third year that the Department of Education and Training implemented a comprehensive plan to ensure the quality of general education throughout the province, achieving high results and creating a breakthrough in fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training. In 2024, for the first time, the education sector launched a campaign to encourage high achievements in the 2024 high school graduation exam. As a result, in the 2024 high school graduation exam, Nghe An ranked 12th out of 63 provinces and cities, an increase of 10 places compared to 2023.
At the 2023-2024 National Excellent Student Examination, Nghe An province continued to rank 4th nationwide with 90 students winning awards, including 8 first prizes, 38 second prizes, 33 third prizes, and 11 consolation prizes. Six students won regional and international medals, including 1 Bronze Medal at the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO), 1 Silver Medal and 1 Bronze Medal at the Mendeleev International Chemistry Olympiad, 2 Bronze Medals at the International Biology Olympiad, and a Silver Medal at the European Physics Olympiad.
This is the fifth consecutive year that Nghe An province has had students win high awards at the "Youth Learning and Following the Ideology, Morality, and Style of Ho Chi Minh" competition. At the 2024 National Phu Dong Sports Festival, Nghe An ranked first overall in Region III, fifth out of 63 provinces and cities in terms of total medals, and among the top 10 best provinces and cities nationwide. This is the highest ranking Nghe An province has ever achieved in its participation.

In 2024, the entire education sector had 290 initiatives in the field of education that were submitted by the Provincial Innovation Council to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and recognition.
Specifically, the research project "Research and implementation of a quality assurance model in general education institutions in Nghe An province," led by Professor Dr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training, won the Special Prize in "Scientific and Technological Innovation, Nghe An Expanded Innovation Startup Talent Search and Honoring Outstanding Scientists in 2023."
In 2024, Nghe An province had 64 teachers awarded the title of "Outstanding Teacher" for the 16th time. This is the highest number of teachers awarded this title to date.

The sector proactively links and cooperates with localities and units nationwide; strengthens international cooperation in the development of education and training, and the training of high-quality human resources. Currently, Nghe An is the first locality in the country to receive and organize the enrollment and training of Lao students studying the 2018 General Education Program at the high school level.

Implementing digital transformation in the education sector is being carried out synchronously to ensure a dual objective: changing the forms of management, administration, and teaching, while simultaneously meeting the demand for high-quality human resources to form a digital government, digital economy, and digital society.
To date, 100% of general education institutions in the province have implemented self-assessment of the level of digital transformation in schools and publicly updated the self-assessment results on the system. For the second consecutive year, the Department of Education and Training has been ranked 4th among all provincial departments and agencies in terms of digital transformation and administrative reform.

The task of building schools to meet national standards was successfully accomplished, with 1,166 schools achieving the standard, reaching a rate of 80.3%, exceeding the target set by the 19th Provincial Party Congress. The construction of bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe school buildings was directed to all educational institutions and implemented effectively.

Joining hands in the movement for community life, we have built and repaired houses for the poor and those with housing difficulties. To date, we have supported and handed over 54 houses, exceeding the set target (an increase of 3 houses compared to the registration). This school year, we continue to register to support 35 more houses with a total estimated cost of nearly 1.6 billion VND.

Under the leadership of the Party Committee of the Department of Education and Training, from 2020 to 2024, the Department's Party Committee consistently fulfilled its assigned tasks. In 2024, it received a Certificate of Merit from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for outstanding achievements in directing and implementing Resolution No. 25 of the 10th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over youth work during the period of accelerated industrialization and modernization" and a Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievements in directing and implementing Resolution No. 36 of the 11th Politburo on "promoting the application and development of information technology to meet the requirements of sustainable development and international integration".
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc (September 22, 1954 - September 22, 2024), the Party Committee of the Department was commended as an "Outstanding Advanced Collective," and the Party Secretary and Director of the Department was commended as an "Outstanding Advanced Individual."
