10,000 IS gunmen are approaching the capital Baghdad, Iraq calls for US help
Iraqi officials have appealed to the US to deploy forces to protect Baghdad from the risk of falling into the hands of IS.
The British Sunday Telegraph newspaper yesterday quoted the Chairman of Iraq's Anbar Provincial Council, Sabah Al Kerhut, as saying that about 10,000 gunmen of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) organization are approaching and ready to attack the capital Baghdad.
