100% of HIV/AIDS patients are monitored and supported
(Baonghean) - The National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control in 2011 took place from November 10 to December 10 with many practical activities. The Provincial AIDS Prevention and Control Steering Committee also organized a rally and parade in response to World AIDS Day in Do Luong. 80 key communes and wards and 149 other communes and wards organized a rally in response to the action month with 170,000 participants. In addition, the Provincial AIDS Prevention and Control Center coordinated with AIDS prevention programs and projects in the area to organize many thematic talks at agencies and units, hung thousands of banners and slogans, distributed 24,440 leaflets, 4,000 posters, 10,630 books and pamphlets on AIDS prevention and control.
In addition, during the Action Month, 100% of HIV/AIDS patients were monitored and supported, and services were provided well; 100% of outpatient clinics, self-help groups, and peer educators were monitored and supported; 10 infected children and 60 patients receiving ARV treatment were visited and given gifts.
