To proactively prevent storm No. 3, Quynh Luu district has issued an official dispatch requesting coastal communes in the area to implement the call, strictly prohibiting boats from going out to sea to fish, reduce damage, and ensure safety of life and property.

Fisherman Nguyen Van Quang - Owner of fishing boat NA 93169 TS in Son Hai commune said, after receiving information about storm No. 3 that will affect Nghe An province, we quickly went down to the dock to anchor and tie the boat to ensure safety. We used large ropes to tie it tightly to the concrete pillar, and used rubber tires to hang on both sides of the boat to avoid collision when there was strong wind.

Storm No. 3 hit right at the time when all the fishing boats of Quynh Luu fishermen had gathered at the wharf to rest before the full moon, thus limiting the risk when the storm hit. However, propaganda work on storm prevention and mooring boats in place is also very important.

During the anchoring process at the wharf, the Station will increase the number of ships going to the wharf to check and request fishermen to properly implement storm prevention plans such as anchoring ships according to regulations and using necessary equipment to limit collisions on ships.

Quynh Luu is the district with the largest number of boats in the province with 1,275. Currently, all vehicles have safely anchored at the two ports of Lach Quen and Lach Thoi.

Therefore, the district assigned the communes to monitor and strictly prohibit fishermen from going to sea to fish when the storm is making landfall.

Meanwhile, in Hoang Mai town, the locality is actively implementing the work of preventing storm No. 3. Currently, over 1,000 vessels have safely arrived at Lach Con port.
