Fisherman Nguyen Van Quang - Owner of fishing boat NA 93169 TS in Son Hai commune said, after receiving information about storm No. 3 that would affect Nghe An province, we quickly went to the dock to anchor and tie the boat to ensure safety. We used large ropes to tie it tightly to the concrete pillar, and used rubber tires to hang on both sides of the boat to avoid collision when there was strong wind.
Storm No. 3 hit right at the time when all the boats of Quynh Luu fishermen had gathered at the dock to rest before the full moon, thus limiting the risk when the storm hit. However, propaganda work on storm prevention and mooring boats on site is also very important.
