12 scientific works and clusters of works received the Ho Chi Minh Prize

Yesterday, February 14 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology held a press conference to announce the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize for Science and Technology in 2010.

Accordingly, 32 works and clusters of works out of a total of 67 works with valid award records in 5 fields of Social Sciences and Humanities, Natural Sciences, Technical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Medical Sciences will receive awards. Of these, 12 works and clusters of works will be awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize and 20 works and clusters of works will be awarded the State Prize.

List of works and clusters of works awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize include: Social sciences: Some theoretical issues on Party building for a ruling party leading the cause of building socialism. Co-authors: Late Professor Dang Xuan Ky, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Minh Truong; Vietnamese culture: Tradition and modernity, including works: Vietnamese culture - Research and contemplation, Vietnam from a geographical and cultural perspective, On the land of a thousand years of culture. Author: Late Professor Tran Quoc Vuong; Ho Chi Minh's literary and journalistic career and some theoretical and practical issues of Vietnamese culture and arts. Author: Professor Ha Minh Duc; Research and criticism of medieval Vietnamese literature and Han Nom language. Author: Professor Le Tri Vien; Theory and criticism, methodology of literary research. Author: Professor, Dr. Bui Van Ba.

Field of natural sciences: Searching, discovering and effectively exploiting oil bodies in pre-Tertiary Granitoit basement rocks of the Cuu Long basin, Vietnam's continental shelf. Co-authors: 49 people; Vietnamese Fauna and Flora, Red Book and Red List of Vietnam. Co-authors: 45 people; Nature, territory and geographical regions of Vietnam. Author: Late Associate Professor Le Ba Thao.

Field of science and technology: Applying 5 scientific and technological solutions to manufacture lifting equipment in Vietnam. Author: Bachelor Nguyen Tang Cuong; Research, development and innovation of technology in the film industry to serve the resistance war to protect the Fatherland and restore the economy after the war. AuthorAuthor: Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Ngoc.

Field of agricultural science: River dams and barge dams. Co-authors: 6 people.

Medical and pharmaceutical sciences: Research on the model of combining military and civilian medicine to serve the health care of soldiers and people in the renovation period, including 11 works. Co-authors: 8 people.

Authors whose works or clusters of works are awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize or the State Prize for Science and Technology will receive a Certificate of Award from the President, along with a bonus of VND 200 million/prize for the Ho Chi Minh Prize and VND 120 million/prize for the State Prize.

The award ceremony will be solemnly held at the Hanoi Opera House on February 18.
