120 primary school students compete in "Handwriting - Personality"
(Baonghean) -On the morning of March 3, at Cua Nam 1 Primary School - Vinh City, Nhi Dong Newspaper in collaboration with the Primary Department (Ministry of Education and Training) and Nghe An Department of Education and Training launched the beautiful handwriting contest "Handwriting - Personality" for primary school students in the 2010-2011 school year.
The contest aims to promote the movement of beautiful handwriting in primary schools, improve writing and presentation skills, and encourage teachers to take care of handwriting practice. Nghe An is one of the localities chosen to launch the beautiful handwriting contest nationwide. 120 students from grades 2, 3, 4, 5 of 29 schools in Vinh city participated in the contest. Each student must write a paragraph or poem chosen by the Organizing Committee within 25 minutes.
At the end of the calligraphy contest “Handwriting - Personality”, the Organizing Committee awarded 4 first prizes to the following students: Nguyen Thi Mai Anh (Ben Thuy Primary School), Thai Khac Thanh (Le Loi Primary School), Nguyen Tuan Anh (Cua Nam 2 Primary School), Vo Thi Thanh Tu (Trung Do Primary School). In addition, there were 8 second prizes, 12 third prizes and 20 consolation prizes for 40 students.
The four first prize winners will be specially invited to participate in the national calligraphy contest “Handwriting - Personality” to be held at the Temple of Literature - Hanoi in mid-April this year.
