122 athletes participated in the Cross Country race
As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 82nd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2013), and the 67th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day, this afternoon, March 18, the Standing Committee of Anh Son District Youth Union coordinated with the District Cultural and Sports Center to organize a cross-country race for cadres, youth union members and people in the area.
(Baonghean.vn) –As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 82nd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2013), and the 67th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day, this afternoon, March 18, the Standing Committee of Anh Son District Youth Union coordinated with the District Cultural and Sports Center to organize a cross-country race for cadres, youth union members and people in the area.
The tournament attracted 122 athletes to compete (84 male athletes and 38 female athletes) in the following events: 1500m for women, 2500m for men. The 2013 cross-country tournament is one of the tournaments that has gathered the most athletes ever and attracted many more quality athletes, especially young youth union members.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 02 first prizes to Nguyen The Phi (Tuong Son commune), Ngo Thi Lanh (Anh Son I High School); 02 second prizes to Cao Dang Tu (Lang Son commune), Nguyen Thi Vui (Anh Son I High School); 02 third prizes to Ngo Dang Hoang (Anh Son I High School), Nguyen Thi Trang (Thanh Son commune) and 14 consolation prizes.
The successful organization of the cross-country race has contributed to strengthening the sports movement in communes and towns; encouraging the Youth Union and all classes of people to participate in training to improve their health.
