14 years in prison for murderer

(Baonghean.vn)- On the morning of August 19, Nghe An Provincial People's Court opened the first instance criminal trial of Le Chi Ha (born 1980, residing in Hung Long commune, Hung Nguyen) for murder.

According to the indictment of the Provincial People's Procuracy, on the evening of February 27, Ha went to a family having a wedding in the neighboring village. There, Ha was invited by Nguyen Quoc Thanh to drink wine, but this young man did not drink and showed an attitude, so Thanh punched him in the face. After that, Le Chi Ha went home and took a sharp knife to the wedding and stabbed Thanh many times, causing his death. After committing the crime, Le Chi Ha turned himself in to the investigation agency.

At the trial, Le Chi Ha confessed his crime. Previously, Ha’s family had paid 152 million VND in compensation as requested by the victim. The panel sentenced Le Chi Ha to 14 years in prison for murder./.
