15 teams participate in the qualifying round of the National Youth Football Tournament in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 1, the Opening Ceremony of Group II of the 2016 National Youth and Children's Football Tournament took place at Vinh Stadium.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, SLNA Club and two youth football teams SLNA and Viettel performed the opening ceremony.

The qualifying round of Group II of the 2016 National Youth and Children's Tournament, with Nghe An as the leader, had 15 teams competing, including 6 Youth teams (age group U13) and 9 Children's teams (age group U11).

In the Youth age group, 6 teams are SLNA, Dak Lak, Quang Ngai, Da Nang, Binh Dinh and Viettel. The teams compete in a round robin, with the 3 teams with the best results participating in the Final Round.

The Children's teams are divided into 2 groups: Group A includes SNA, Dak Lak, Quang Ngai, SHB Da Nang, Quang Tri; Group B includes Binh Dinh, Nhan Tin Da Nang, Phu Dong Thanh Hoa and Hanoi.

The teams compete in a round robin, with the first and second teams of each group and the third-placed team with the best results from the two groups qualifying for the Final Round.

The match between TN SLNA (yellow shirt) and TN Viettel (red shirt) took place after the opening ceremony. As a result, TN SLNA won with a score of 1-0.

The matches take place from June 1 to 9 at Vinh Stadium, Club Training Ground and Song Lam Nghe An Club's artificial turf field.
