1,500 delegates attended the International Conference on Vietnam Studies
With the theme Vietnam on the path of integration and sustainable development, the Conference will take place over 3 days from November 26 to 28 in Hanoi.

On the morning of October 22, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the Vietnam National University, Hanoi held a press conference to introduce the 4th International Conference on Vietnam Studies.
This is an important event held every four years, an opportunity for Vietnam scholars around the world to gather in Vietnam to present the latest research results on Vietnam in all fields.
With the theme of Vietnam on the path of integration and sustainable development, the 4th International Conference on Vietnamese Studies will take place for 3 days from November 26 to 28 at the National Convention Center, My Dinh, Hanoi. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, Head of the Conference Steering Committee, said that this conference will focus on discussing all areas of integration and sustainable development: economics, politics, culture, society, environment, international relations and regional security...
There are currently more than 1,500 delegates registered to attend the conference (nearly double the expected number), including nearly 280 foreign delegates from 35 countries and territories.
Professor Nguyen Quang Thuan, Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, Head of the Conference Organizing Committee, said: Preparations for the Conference have been carried out very urgently since March. Up to this point, reports have been basically collected, initial editing and appraisal, and full texts have been sent to the conference. This is an important step for scientific reports to focus on the conference theme of integration and sustainable development. What issues are raised by the international context, regional context, and domestic development conditions? Up to this point, the logistical preparations have basically been completed.
The workshop is divided into 15 specialized sub-committees with specific contents such as: Vietnamese history: tradition and modernity; Culture and cultural exchange in integration and sustainable development; Vietnamese economy in integration and sustainable development... Through this workshop, domestic and foreign scholars will participate in proposing opinions on Vietnam's development and integration policies and viewpoints in the spirit of "Vietnam is a reliable partner, an active and responsible member of the international community, striving for a world of peace and sustainable development"./.
