16 Nghe An authors selected to exhibit at the North Central Art Photography Festival

(Baonghean.vn) - The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists coordinated with the Quang Tri Province Literature and Arts Association to organize the "24th North Central Region Art Photography Festival 2017" in Quang Tri.

The units participating in the Festival include 6 provinces and cities: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue. The theme of this festival is Nature - People of the North Central Coast. Nghe An has 39 authors/176 authors from the whole region participating with 288 works submitted out of a total of 1245 works.

The works are of all genres of photography: Landscape, portrait, daily life, still life... showing the beauty of nature, country, people in the region, the authors are professional and amateur photographers, reflecting richly the achievements of economy, science and technology, social security, national defense, enhanced international exchange and integration...; typical advanced examples, studying and following the ideology, morality, style of Ho Chi Minh; the beauty in the cultural and spiritual life of ethnic minorities in preserving and promoting national cultural identity.

Many works introduce the strengths and potential for socio-economic development in localities in the region, the topic of building new rural areas and shifting agricultural structure towards modernity, and protecting national border and sea sovereignty.

After a selection period, 26 photos by 16 Nghe An authors were selected to be displayed. Accordingly, the award ceremony and exhibition opening will take place on August 16, 2017, at the Quang Tri Provincial Cultural Center.
