May 19 will award the State Prizes for Literature and Arts.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has set a plan to organize the ceremony to award the Ho Chi Minh Prize, State Prize and People's Artist title on May 19 at the Hanoi Opera House.
Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh Prize in the field of music includes two groups of works by the late musician Mai Van Chung and musician Pham Tuyen.

The fine arts field includes a cluster of works by the late painter Nguyen Gia Tri. The theater field includes 3 clusters of works by the late People's Artist - Director Nguyen Dinh Nghi, the late People's Artist - Director Duong Ngoc Duc, and the late People's Artist Nguyen Xuan Kim (Sy Tien).
The literary works of the authors considered for the award include Pham Tien Duat, Hoang Tich Chi, Dinh Trong Doan (Ma Van Khang), Nguyen Huu Thinh, Nguyen The Xuong, Chu Ba Binh and Duong Ngoc Huy.
The award ceremony also announced the literary and artistic works that met the criteria for the State Prize. Specifically, 27 musical works and groups of works; 14 cinematographic works and groups of works; 5 architectural works and groups of works; 5 dance works and groups of works; 16 fine art works; 2 photography groups of works; 16 stage groups of works; 38 literary works and groups of works and 7 folk art works and groups of works.
The Council also made a list to submit to the Prime Minister and the President to confer the title of People's Artist on 74 artists and Meritorious Artist on 356 artists./.
