(Baonghean.vn) - Due to their poor family background and wanting to have some money to prepare for the new school year, two Khmu girls in the border district of Ky Son (Nghe An) were deceived by human traffickers.

On August 4, 2017, while preparing to go to the rice fields, Mr. Moong PX, residing in Nam Tien village, Bao Nam commune (Ky Son) received a phone call from an acquaintance named Ven Van Hiep, residing in La Ngan village, Chieu Luu commune (Ky Son). Hiep told Mr. Moong PX that he wanted to hire his daughter, Moong TX (born in 2003), to help weed the fields for a few days and promised to pay her a fair wage. Because they were acquaintances and his family was poor and did not have enough money to send his daughter to school, Mr. Moong PX agreed.

» Emergency arrest of 3 subjects who brought 2 girls to China to sell

“Moong TX is my eldest daughter. I thought she needed help weeding the fields, but I didn't expect her to be sold to China,” Mr. X shared.

The girl Hung TH (born in 2008), is also the eldest daughter of Hung VQ and Ven TT, in La Ngan village, Chieu Luu commune. When Ms. T heard that her daughter was tricked and sold to China while weeding rice, she rushed to the Ky Son district police headquarters on the morning of August 7.

Ms. Ven TT said: “It is the farming season, but we do not want our child to suffer following his father and mother to the forest and fields forever. So my husband and I left our child at home to play with his friends. Who would have thought that they would seduce and trick him into selling him. He looks so big, but in fact he is only 8 years old and doesn’t know anything.”

The leader of the human trafficking group that was recently arrested by the Ky Son District Police in the early morning of August 7 is Cut Thi Dao (born in 1989), residing in Luu Thang village, Chieu Luu commune (Ky Son). Dao married a Chinese man nearly 10 years ago. However, according to the Ky Son District Police detectives, Dao has recently been in the area frequently, trying to connect women and girls to sell to China.

Cut Thi Dao promised to pay the broker couple Ven Van Hiep and Moong Thi Chieu 100 million VND each, on the condition that the goods must be delivered to Mong Cai city (Quang Ninh province).

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, at around 11pm on August 6, Mr. Duong Danh Son (born in 1986), a driver of Lac Hong taxi company, branch in Ky Son district, was parking his car in Muong Xen town when two women offered to rent a car to take two girls to Mong Cai (Quang Ninh).

Discovering that these two women had many unusual and suspicious signs, Mr. Son tried to find a way to notify the Ky Son District Police.

At around 1:00 a.m. on August 7, when discovering a taxi carrying 2 women and 2 girls traveling on National Highway 7, through Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district police asked to stop the vehicle for an administrative check.

Upon inspection, the two subjects could not present identification documents proving that the two girls were their children, so the police invited them to the headquarters to take statements. At the Ky Son District Police, the identities of the subjects were clarified as: Cut Thi Dao (born in 1989), Moong Thi Chieu (born in 1986) and Ven Van Hiep (born in 1980), all residing in Chieu Luu Commune, Ky Son District. The three subjects confessed to having together carried out the act of selling the two girls in the district to China./.
