2 ways to renew family health insurance card with reduced contribution level

Implementing Decision No. 06/QD-TTg dated January 6, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the Project on developing population data applications, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period of 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, Vietnam Social Security has completed the connection with the national population database to use the household information authentication service. This includes connecting with the National Payment Platform to deploy payment services with banks and payment intermediaries; upgrading and adjusting the software to deploy the service of renewing health insurance cards for households (with reduced contribution levels) integrated on the Vietnam Social Security Public Service Portal and the National Public Service Portal.

Here are 2 ways to renew your family health insurance card with reduced premiums:

1. Implement on the Public Service PortalSocial insuranceVietnam

Step 1:To renew the family health insurance card with reduced premium, open any browser and access the following link: https://dichvucong.baohiemxahoi.gov.vn.

Step 2:On the login screen, the user enters the required login information, then selects: “Log in".

Step 3:After successfully logging in, next, select "ELECTRONIC SOCIAL INSURANCE PAYMENT"

Screen select Insurance Closing item.

Then select: "Renew Health Insurance card for household with deduction", the screen displays to enter information to renew Health Insurance card as follows:

Step 4:Enter household member information and card renewal information

- Enter household head information: Required to enter identification number, full name, date of birth and gender.

- Enter member information: Enter only identification number

To add a household member, select: “Add family member”, then enter the member identification number:

- Enter health insurance card information: Select the number of months to renew the health insurance card

Step 5:Verify information

Fill in all required information, select: "Confirm" to verify the information:

- In case of verifying information of members in the national population database who are not registered for permanent residence or not registered for temporary residence:

+ If the household head information does not exist, when authenticating the system will notify:

+ If members do not have the same permanent address or temporary address in the national population database, when authenticating, the system will notify:

- In case of verifying information of members in the national database on population who have registered for permanent residence or temporary residence together:

If the information: Information of the head of household; information of members; members participating in the subject of family health insurance; information about the health insurance cards of members; members requesting to renew their health insurance cards participating at the same social insurance agency are verified to be correct, the screen displays the following information:

+ Health insurance participation information of each member: identification number, full name, number of renewal months, current health insurance card expiration date.

+ Amount to pay to renew family health insurance card

Step 6.Select the beneficiary bank of the Social Security agency

After successfully verifying the information, select: "beneficiary bank of the Social Insurance agency", then select: "Payment" to move to Step 7.

Step 7.Pay

After selecting: “Payment” in Step 6, the screen displays a list of Banks and Payment Intermediaries. Users can choose one of two payment methods.

If the payment information is verified as correct, the payment system will notify "Success".

After successful payment, users can print receipt by selecting “Print Receipt”.

2. Renewing family health insurance card with reduced contribution level on the National Public Service Portal

Step 1:To renew the family health insurance card with reduced contribution, open any browser and access the following link: https://dichvucong.gov.vn

Step 2:On the login screen, the user enters the required login information, then selects: “Login”

Step 3:After successfully logging in, follow these steps: Step 4, Step 5, Step 6, Step 7 as on the Vietnam Social Security Public Service Portal.
