Two food businesses did not cooperate with the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team.
(Baonghean.vn) - During the month of action for food safety in 2018, the provincial interdisciplinary inspection team drew up administrative violation records for 09 individuals and organizations. There were 2 food establishments that did not cooperate with the inspection team.
During the 2018 Food Safety Action Month (from April 15 to May 15), the province's interdisciplinary inspection team inspected 26 food establishments in the area. The team drew up administrative violation records for 09 individuals and organizations and transferred the files to the competent authorities to issue decisions on handling administrative violations with a total fine of VND 83,950,000; forcing the destruction of expired products of unknown origin worth VND 1,591,000.

The violating establishments were recorded and proposed for punishment by the interdisciplinary inspection team:
1.Tam Truong Sinh Joint Stock Company, address: Hamlet 13 - Nghi Phu Commune - Vinh City, food service type. Violation: No separate processing, preservation and use tools for fresh food and processed food; food storage place does not ensure safety and hygiene. Proposed fine of 12 million VND
2.Business household Do Thi Tam, address Hai Giang II block - Nghi Hai ward - Cua Lo town, type of seafood purchasing and freezing. Violation: Not having enough equipment and tools suitable for handling raw materials, processing, packaging, and preserving all kinds of food. Proposed fine of 4 million VND.
3.Song Lam Production and Trading Company Limited, address: Hai Trieu block - Nghi Hai ward - Cua Lo town, type of food service. Violation: Using an unsafe and unsanitary storage place. Proposed fine of 8 million VND.
4.Son Trang Investment, Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company, address 268 - Binh Minh Street - Cua Lo Town, hotel restaurant type. Violation: Using an expired health certificate; storing food samples in violation of regulations. Proposed fine of 9.5 million VND.
5.Tam Nong Development Cooperative, business address No. 22 - Le Hong Phong Street - Vinh City, retail of all kinds of food and foodstuffs. Violations: Not conducting periodic health examinations for subjects subject to periodic health examinations; employing people subject to food safety training without a certificate of food safety training; trading in goods past the expiration date stated on the product label; trading in goods of unknown origin. Proposed fine of 4.2 million VND.

6.Business household Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, address block Tay Ho I - Quang Tien ward - Thai Hoa town, type of food service. Violation: Not keeping food samples; using expired ingredients, not ensuring food safety. Proposed fine of 11.5 million VND.
7.Hoang Xuan Manh Business Household, address Thinh My Hamlet - Nghia My Commune - Thai Hoa Town, ice cream production. Violations: Not conducting periodic health check-ups for subjects subject to periodic health check-ups; employing people subject to food safety training without a food safety training certificate; employing workers who wear labor protection equipment as prescribed but not fully; not ensuring food safety during food production; not storing each type of food separately, leading to the risk of cross-contamination; using food storage facilities that do not ensure hygiene and safety. Proposed fine of 16.25 million VND.
8.AKOSI Vietnam Production and Trading Co., Ltd., address: Block 8 - Mai Hung Ward - Hoang Mai Town, type of bottled and jarred drinking water production. Violation: Not conducting periodic health check-ups for subjects subject to health check-ups; employing people subject to food safety training without a food safety knowledge certificate. Proposed fine of 3 million VND.
9.Le Thi Lac Business Household, address Hamlet 3 - Quynh Nghia Commune - Quynh Luu District, food service type. Violations: Failure to conduct periodic health check-ups for subjects subject to periodic health check-ups; failure to take measures to prevent harmful insects and animals; food storage facilities not ensuring safety and hygiene; having tools to collect and contain garbage and waste according to regulations but not ensuring hygiene; failure to keep food samples. Proposed fine of 15.5 million VND.
The food establishments that were inspected basically cooperated. However, there were two cases where establishments refused to cooperate with the inspection team: Evading and not signing the administrative violation report even though the Team had sent an official letter inviting them to work, which were:
1. Hoang Ha Trading and Construction Company Limited, address 152, Hong Bang Street, Vinh City, food service type.
2. Lien Van business establishment, address: Hai Giang II block, Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town, type of purchasing and freezing seafood products
For these two facilities, the Provincial Interdisciplinary Inspection Team requested the Department in charge to continue to perform inspection tasks according to its authority and report the results to the Provincial People's Committee before June 30, 2018./.
