2 Nghe An teachers won prizes at the contest 'Composing songs about teachers and schools'

This is a contest byMinistry of Education and TrainingOrganized in collaboration with the Vietnam Musicians Associationand received more than 400 works from professional and non-professional musicians from all over the country. As a result, the jury scored and selected 30 winning works, including 2 first prizes; 4 second prizes; 8 third prizes and 16 consolation prizes.

Participating in this contest, Nghe An province was honored to have 2 authors winning prizes. Among them, the work “Returning to the old school” by author Pham Xuan Hai - TruongNghe An College of Culture and Artswon second prize and author Le Anh Ha - Ly Nhat Quang Secondary School won third prize with the work "Singing on the mountain".

The song "Returning to the old school" was conceived by teacher Pham Xuan Hai for many years and was completed in 2020. It is the author's own memories of his teachers and the schools he studied at. In addition, the author also wants to convey memories of his student days that everyone has experienced and has many fond memories of. Before winning the "Songwriting about teachers and schools" contest, teacher Pham Xuan Hai was also a person who had a chance to win awards with many different topics. Including First Prize with the work "Panpipe singing for a lover" at the 2019 writing contest on the topic of mountainous areas and most recently won First Prize (no special prize) at the 2020 songwriting contest on vocational education organized by the General Department of Vocational Education, Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs with the work "Be confident, my friend". Currently, teacher Pham Xuan Hai, in addition to being a lecturer, also holds the position of Head of Training Department of Nghe An College of Culture and Arts.

The work “Singing on the Mountain” is one of many works on the theme of teachers and schools composed by teacher Le Anh Ha. The song was written by the author in 2020 to sympathize, share and express gratitude to the team of teachers who are working or living in remote, isolated and difficult areas. Overcoming hardships, the teachers have turned hardships into motivation to do a good job of teaching, educating people and acting as a shield on the border.

Previously, teacher Le Anh Ha also had a number of songs written about students that were awarded at music competitions such as the song "Em mo hoc cai chu" which won the C prize - Literature and Arts Award awarded by the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations in 2020, the song "Bước chân ông Ké" was awarded the Encouragement Prize by the Central Propaganda Department at the composition competition on Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh in the period 2018 - 2020...
