(Baonghean.vn) - In the first two months of 2017, export activities in Nghe An have improved, with total export turnover reaching nearly 132 million USD, up 24% over the same period in 2016.

According to Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade, in the first two months of 2017, the province's export activities had many shipments, with an estimated export turnover of 88.6 million USD, an increase of 33.2% over the same period.

In particular, the textile and garment group continues to lead, with exports reaching more than 26 million USD in the first two months of the year (up 44% over the same period). The goods are exported to many markets such as: Korea, China, Japan, the US, Germany, etc. And this is identified as the province's main export group with a fairly sustainable and stable export turnover in the coming years.
Next are wood chips reaching nearly 22 million USD, phone components 9.1 million USD, superfine white limestone powder 6.1 million USD...
Goods are exported to 46 countries and territories, of which, export markets include: China: 37.77%; Korea: 22.19%; Japan: 6.35%; Hong Kong 4.87%, India 4.53%; Thailand 3.69%; USA: 2.92%; Taiwan 2.8%; Singapore 2.75%; Egypt 2.69%...

Mr. Hoang Van Tam - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said: Nghe An Industry and Trade Department has set a plan for total export turnover to reach 855 million USD in 2017. To achieve the set target, the industry is implementing the Export Project for the period 2016 - 2020, focusing on production and processing of export goods in the province such as processed tea, cassava starch, textiles, white stone powder... At the same time, diversifying export markets, improving the efficiency of exporting goods to signed markets (FTA)...
In 2016, total export turnover reached 849 million USD, reaching 124.8% of the plan, up 12.1% compared to 2015. Of which, export turnover of goods was 568.5 million USD, reaching 113.7% of the plan, up 10.39%. Items with increased export value such as vegetables and fruits increased by 89.28%, textiles and garments increased by 88.17%, wood products increased by 24.64%... |
