20 Nghe An border teachers dance at the Wechoice Awards Gala night

On the evening of February 4, at the Gala night held at the SECC Exhibition Center (Ho Chi Minh City), the faces in the Top 10 inspirational characters and Top 5 inspirational ambassadors voted by readers of the Wechoice Awards program were named on stage to be honored.

At this program, teachers of Tri Le 4 Primary School, Tri Le Commune, Que Phong District (Nghe An) were honored as one of the 10 Inspirational People of 2017.

At the Gala night, teachers performed dances inspired by their teaching lives at 6 locations near the Vietnam - Laos border.

The lives and teaching stories of 44 male teachers teaching in a place without roads, without national electricity grid, more than 30km away from the district center; images of arduous trips on muddy roads, full of hardships when getting to schools; scenes of finding fish in streams for food and meals under oil lamps of the teachers have left a strong impression on the community.

Also at the Gala night, Mr. Ngo Minh Hai - Deputy General Director of TH Milk Group said that the Group will build a more spacious school for the teachers of Tri Le 4 Primary School. He said: "I am very touched by the dedication of the teachers who have brought literacy to the students".

Mr. Lang Van Nhan - Principal of the school said that only 20 out of 44 teachers attended the honoring night. "This is an unforgettable memory for teachers in the highlands and will continue to motivate teachers to be more attached to this difficult place."
