200 brands received the Vietnam Golden Star Award 2013

On the morning of September 2, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association held the 10th Anniversary of the Vietnam Golden Star Award and the 2013 Vietnam Golden Star Award Ceremony.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association Mai Huu Tin said: The Vietnam Golden Star Award aims to encourage, motivate and orient young entrepreneurs and Vietnamese enterprises to pay attention to brand building, improve business competitiveness to prepare for international integration. The award also has the meaning of promoting Vietnamese values, honoring national pride and raising awareness for young people, young entrepreneurs in particular and Vietnamese enterprises in general in the cause of industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration.

Over the past 10 years, the Vietnam Golden Star Award has honored and awarded 1,727 outstanding brands and products. 200 outstanding brands representing 29 industries and groups of industries were awarded the Vietnam Golden Star Award in 2013, generating over 743,000 billion VND in revenue in 2012, total assets reaching over 71,000 billion VND, contributing 46,000 billion VND to the budget and creating jobs for over 466,000 workers.

At the Award Ceremony, the following enterprises: Thaco Truong Hai, Hoa Sen Group, Dam Phu My, Pvep, VRG Rubber Group, FPT, Viettinbank, Traphaco, Thien Long, Vissan were voted and awarded the TOP 10 Golden Stars of Vietnam in 2013.

TOP 200 and TOP 100 Vietnamese Golden Star Brands in 2013 were awarded to typical enterprises in community activities, implementing well the policies of the Party and State, ensuring social security, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of workers.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc warmly commended the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association for successfully organizing the 2013 Vietnam Gold Star Award Ceremony. The award has actively contributed to the successful implementation of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods". The Deputy Prime Minister also congratulated and acknowledged the contributions of 200 outstanding enterprises awarded the Vietnam Gold Star Award in 2013.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed: The Party and State always pay special attention, create a favorable environment and conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to develop quickly and sustainably; promptly issue and amend many policies and guidelines to remove difficulties, contribute to encouraging and motivating enterprises and entrepreneurs to maintain confidence, overcome all difficulties and hardships, and build enterprises to develop more and more sustainably.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested the Vietnam Youth Union, the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association and the Vietnamese young business community to continue promoting good traditions and achievements, overcoming shortcomings, striving to overcome difficulties, worthy of the pioneering tradition of young Vietnamese entrepreneurs; businesses maintain and affirm their brands in the domestic market, moving forward to reach the world market.

In the context of international economic integration, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc noted that enterprises should do well in corporate governance; increase investment in science and technology; pay attention to restructuring in production and business; increase competitiveness, promptly take advantage of and seize opportunities; produce products and services that are competitive not only domestically but also in the international market.

Believing that the success of enterprises contributes significantly to the success of the country, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc noted that all levels, sectors and localities should pay attention to removing difficulties and creating favorable conditions in terms of mechanisms, policies and infrastructure for enterprises to develop production and business.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc believes that with the results achieved, along with youthfulness and enthusiasm, young Vietnamese businesses have the intelligence and strength to successfully integrate into the world economy./.
