200 million VND from the 'Warm Tet in the Western Region of Nghe An' running race will support people in difficult circumstances.
(Baonghean.vn) - Members of 6 teams participating in the online fundraising race “Warm Tet in the Western Region of Nghe An” have completed 82,062 km, with a total prize money of 200 million VND. This amount will be used to support people in difficult circumstances in the mountainous districts of the province.
On the morning of January 10, the Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province and the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Nghe An province jointly organized a conference to summarize and award prizes for the online run to raise funds for "Warm Tet in the Western region of Nghe An".
Attending the program were representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, the Vietnam Youth Union, the Department of Culture and Sports, the Nghe An Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association, and related units and enterprises.

Online fundraising run "Warm Tet in the Western region of Nghe An"takes place in 22 days (from date)18/11 - 9/12The tournament has the participation of 6 teams, gathering more than 3,500 athletes who are union members, youth, and members of the Young Entrepreneurs Association in the whole province registered to participate.
Athletes participate in the race through the UpRace application platform. This application is installed on smartphones or watches with GPRS location to accumulate running distance.

With the noble purpose of "Every step, a heart towards the Western region of Nghe An", the athletes actively and enthusiastically contributed their efforts to the overall achievements of the tournament, from which, many goals set by the tournament organizers from the beginning were exceeded.
At the end of the tournament, the total distance that the athletes had traveled was 82,062 km. The total prize money that the 6 teams received was 200 million VND.
As the name of the tournament suggests, all prizes from the teams will be donated to support those in especially difficult circumstances who need help in the western districts of the province on the occasion of the warm Tet holiday 2024.

Athletes are divided into 6 teams, including:
Team 1: Members of the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association and businesses.
Team 2: Members, youth of districts: Quy Chau, Con Cuong, Que Phong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son.
Team 3: Members, youth of districts: Anh Son, Thanh Chuong, Quy Hop, Tan Ky, Nghia Dan, Do Luong.
Team No. 4: Members, youth of districts: Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc, Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, Nam Dan.
Team No. 5: Members, youth of units: Vinh City, Cua Lo Town, Hoang Mai Town, Thai Hoa Town.
Team No. 6: Union members, youth union members of the Youth Union units of Provincial Agencies, Provincial Enterprises, Provincial Police, Provincial Military Command, Provincial Border Guard Command, Provincial Student Association (350 athletes).

List of winning teams:
The First Place Team - Team No. 1 completed 20,817 km, with 215 athletes participating in the team. The average number of kilometers completed per athlete was 97.73 km.
The Second Place Winner - Team No. 4 completed 15,457 km, with 299 athletes participating, the average number of kilometers completed per athlete was 51.70 km.
Third Place Team - Team No. 5 completed 11,162 km, with 272 athletes participating in the team, the average number of kilometers completed per athlete was 41.04 km.
3 teams won the Encouragement Prize: Team No. 6, No. 3 and No. 2, with total completed kilometers of 15,556 km; 14,852 km; 4,848 km respectively.
In addition to the main prize for the competing teams, the race also has an individual achievement award given to the most popular athlete, Ms. Le Hoang Thuy Khue (born in 2000), an athlete from Team No. 1.
The male and female athlete pairs with the highest cumulative distance in the tournament were Mr. Bui Van Nghia - athlete from Nghia Dan district, member of Team No. 3; Ms. Van Ngoc Nhung - athlete from the Young Entrepreneurs Association, member of Team No. 1.

The male and female athletes with the second-highest cumulative distance in the tournament were Le Dinh Tuan Anh - an athlete from Nghe An Provincial Police, a member of Team 6; and Le Thi Hai Thu - an athlete from Hung Nguyen District, a member of Team 4.
The male and female athletes with the third-highest cumulative distance of the tournament were Tran Ngoc Quan - an athlete from Vinh University, a member of Team 4; and Dau Huong My - an athlete from Dien Chau district, a member of Team 4.
