200 athletes participate in the 2020 Nghe An Province Traditional Martial Arts Championship for all ages
(Baonghean.vn) - The 2020 Nghe An Province Traditional Martial Arts Championship for all ages gathered nearly 200 athletes from 14 units across the province.
On the evening of December 18, in Vinh City, the Department of Culture and Sports held the opening ceremony of the V.traditionalNghe An province age groups in 2020.
Attending the opening ceremony were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports, and representatives of relevant agencies and departments.

The 2020 Nghe An Province Traditional Martial Arts Championship for all ages is organized to contribute to preserving and conserving the quintessence of traditional martial arts of the nation, promoting good values, enhancing self-esteem and pride in the martial arts tradition of the nation. At the same time, it evaluates the training and practice of traditional martial arts in localities and units throughout the province; creating opportunities for athletes to practice and compete, improving the professional qualifications of the referee team to serve the competitions.
This is also an opportunity to discover and select talented and excellent athletes to supplement the provincial traditional martial arts team and participate in upcoming tournaments.

This year’s tournament brings together nearly 200 athletes from 14 units across the province. With the spirit of solidarity, honesty, and nobility, it promises to bring high-quality matches, giving the audience thrilling and beautiful matches.

The 2020 Nghe An Province Traditional Martial Arts Championship for all ages will feature the following events: For women aged 14-16, they will compete in the 41-45 kg weight class; for men aged 17-32, they will compete in the 56-60 kg and over 70 kg weight classes; for men aged 14-16, they will compete in the 46-50 kg and 51-55 kg weight classes.
The tournament takes place from December 18 to 21. The tournament will have a total of 26 matches and 12 martial arts performances.
