Using data collected from the Kaspersky Security Network cloud with more than 60 million users, Kaspersky found that 14.5% of users still use old web browsers and 8.5% of browsers are not updated.
Additionally, Internet Explorer is the most popular browser (37.8%), followed by Google Chrome (36.5%) and Firefox (19.5%).
Kaspersky said that the 23% of "outdated" browsers above is an alarming number when most cyber attacks today are through security holes and hackers can easily attack. Therefore, upgrading web browsers with fixes and new protection features is very important.
Although the report mainly includes data from individual users, Kaspersky also recommends that companies should pay special attention to the results of this research because this is a group that is often limited in updating to the latest software versions./.
