24 award-winning works at the Art Photography Festival
On September 4 and 5 in Dien Bien Phu city (Dien Bien province), the Organizing Committee of the 10th Northern Mountainous Provinces Art Photography Festival - 2010 organized a judging and selected 24 most outstanding works to win prizes.
In addition, nearly 200 other excellent works were also selected to attend the festival held in early October in Dien Bien province.

With the theme “Life of ethnic minorities in the Northern mountainous region today,” the festival gathered more than 1,200 photos from 228 authors in 15 northern mountainous provinces. The entries were created in 2009 and 2010.
Mr. Nguyen Dan, Art Council - Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Chairman of the festival's Jury, said that in general, the entries were of good quality, closely following the lives of ethnic minorities from many perspectives.
Most of the authors whose works are in the competition invest deeply, actively explore every aspect of life to reflect it honestly, vividly and artistically...
As a result, the Organizing Committee of the 10th Northern Mountainous Provinces Art Photography Festival selected 24 outstanding works, including one gold prize, five silver prizes, eight bronze prizes and 10 consolation prizes.
The work "The Road to Letters" by author Duc Ky, Lao Cai province was awarded the only gold prize.
