25 projects participating in the Contest 'Startup ideas for vocational education students in Nghe An province in 2023'

On the morning of August 19, at the Vietnam - Germany College, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs held the Opening Ceremony of the Contest "Startup ideas for vocational education students in Nghe An province in 2023".

Also attending the ceremony were comrades: Doan Hong Vu - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; Chu Duc Thai - Head of the Cultural - Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.
Idea Competitionstart-up"Startup Kite Nghe An 2023" is organized with the aim of finding and honoring outstanding authors and startup projects, promoting investment connections between startup projects and investors and investment funds, creating conditions for projects to have the opportunity to become reality. At the same time, select high-achieving projects to participate in Startup Kite 2023.

This year’s competition has 25 projects from 75 authors and groups of authors, with 33 instructors. These are excellent projects selected from 80 projects/200 authors/groups of authors in the grassroots competitions.
Previously, start-ups, innovative start-ups, creativity and building a start-up ecosystem were policies that the Party and the State paid attention to. After many years of implementation, start-ups, innovative start-ups and creativity have increasingly attracted the attention of ministries, departments, branches, localities, research institutes, universities and vocational training institutions and the whole society.

In Nghe An, to raise awareness, entrepreneurial aspirations, and develop entrepreneurial capacity of students in vocational training institutions, on the basis of science, technology, innovation, creativity and digital transformation, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development goals set out in the Resolution of the 19th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 739/KH/UBND to implement the Project "Supporting students to start a business by 2025".

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Ho Thi Chau Loan affirmed that start-up activities of students in recent years have improved a lot, and staff, teachers and students of secondary schools and colleges are all equipped with knowledge and skills to start a business.
From 2020 to 2022 alone, there were 247 projects from 731 authors participating in the grassroots student startup idea contest, selecting 31 projects to participate in the National Semi-final round, of which 9 projects entered the Final round and 1 project was awarded First Prize.

From the success of the competitions, the Organizing Committee hopes to create a widespread influence on the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovative start-up among all students, staff, teachers and employees of vocational training institutions in Nghe An.
This event is also an opportunity to exploit and discover the intelligence, innovative spirit, daring to take risks, daring to accept difficulties and challenges of students. At the same time, it is an opportunity to connect - invest, exchange, learn experiences and attract investors, support organizations in the province, domestically and internationally for start-up projects.
