(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 23, the Vinh City Party Committee officially opened the 23rd Party Congress, term 2015 - 2020. 299 official delegates representing more than 22,000 party members from 99 grassroots party organizations in the entire city's Party Committee attended the congress.
The Congress will listen to and discuss the political report of the Party Executive Committee of the 22nd term for the 2010-2015 term presented to the Congress of the 23rd term for the 2015-2020 term; the review report of the Party Executive Committee of the 22nd term; vote to approve the main goals and targets of the Congress, and pass the draft Resolution of the Congress. The Congress will also elect the Party Executive Committee of the 23rd term for the 2015-2020 term; vote to introduce the personnel of the Secretary of the City Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee of the 23rd term for the 2015-2020 term; and elect delegates to attend the 18th Provincial Party Congress.

Within the framework of the congress program, delegates will also listen to a summary report, receive and explain the opinions and suggestions before and during the Congress on the Political Report, the Review Report of the Party Committee submitted to the 23rd Congress; and synthesize comments on the documents of the 12th National Party Congress, the draft Political Report of the Provincial Party Congress, and comments on the standards, structure and number of the 18th Provincial Party Committee.
