3 Song Lam Nghe An players were called up to U22 Vietnam
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to prepare for the final important training session, before the Vietnam U22 team leaves for the 32nd SEA Games, coach Troussier decided to call up 5 more players, including 3 players from Song Lam Nghe An.
In the final training session to prepare for the 32nd SEA Games, coach Troussier decided to call up 31 players. Among them, he created opportunities for 5 U20 Vietnam strikers who played well, but did not have the opportunity to participate in the U22 Vietnam squad in the previous training session. Notably, among the 5 players mentioned above, there are 3 faces belonging to Song Lam Nghe An: goalkeeper Cao Van Binh, defender Ho Van Cuong and midfielder Dinh Xuan Tien.

Goalkeeper Cao Van Binh is currently participating with U19 Song Lam Nghe An in the National U19 Qualifiers. Coach Nguyen Van Vinh has given this goalkeeper the opportunity to start all past matches of U19 Nghe An. He is an important factor contributing greatly to the opportunity for U19 Song Lam Nghe An to advance to the 2023 National U19 Finals. Specifically, after 7 matches, U19 Song Lam Nghe An has 13 points and is temporarily ranked second in Group B, behind U19 Da Nang, the team with the same score.

Besides, although the first team of Song Lam Nghe An did not play well, defenders Ho Van Cuong and Dinh Xuan Tien left many impressions. Notably, in the match against Nam Dinh, coach Troussier went directly to Thien Truong stadium to "scrutinize" these two U20 Vietnam players. Through watching, he saw the talent of the two strikers Ho Van Cuong and Dinh Xuan Tien and he decided not to miss them.
