3 teachers were awarded First Prize at the Provincial Competition for Excellent Team Leaders
(Baonghean.vn) - The provincial competition for excellent teachers of the Youth Union is held every four years and creates opportunities for teachers of the Youth Union to demonstrate their abilities, exchange experiences, learn, and be creative in the work of the Youth Union and the children's movement in schools.
On the afternoon of December 19, the Department of Education and Training held a closing ceremony for the Teacher Competition.Team LeaderHo Chi Minh Young Pioneers excellent at provincial level, school year 2023 - 2024.
This year's contest had the participation of 77 teachers from 21 districts, cities and towns. Of which, 48 were primary school teachers, 29 were secondary school teachers and general schools with many levels. The locality with the largest number of teachers participating in the contest was Thanh Chuong district with 11 teachers. Anh Son district, Que Phong district, Cua Lo town, Thai Hoa town each had 1 teacher participating.
In the list of participating teachers, there are 8 teachers participating in the second contest, the majority of the participating teachers are between the ages of 44 - 49, there are 2 teachers who are husband and wife, working in Quy Hop district.
After more than 2 weeks of organizing the contest, according to the evaluation of the organizing committee, the teachers have completed the knowledge and skills, practical test of professional skills, and aptitude test with quite high quality. In particular, in the practical test of professional skills, many teachers chose to present on contents suitable for current educational activities, showing the concerns and enthusiasm of teachers for the work of the Team in schools, originating from the teaching practice such as: Prevention of accidents, injuries, drowning; electronic cigarettes; child abuse; necessary skills for students...
In the compulsory exam, the participating teachers performed the skills and professional tasks of the Team in a scientific and flexible manner. In particular, through the aptitude test, the teachers demonstrated their talents and elaborate preparations with many impressive and unique performances.
Through 4 exam contents, 9/76 teachers had an average score of 9.0 points or higher, accounting for 11.8% and 67/76 teachers had an average score of 8.17 to 8.95 points, accounting for 88.2%. There was 1 teacher who failed the knowledge and skills exam. The Organizing Committee also recognized 76 teachers with the title of "Excellent Provincial Team Leader Teacher" for the 2023-2024 school year.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh congratulated and highly appreciated the efforts of the teachers participating in this year's contest. At the same time, he affirmed that the contest is the basis for the Department of Education and Training to honor the title of Excellent Team Leader Teacher at the provincial level; and to replicate advanced models.
The contest also evaluates the results of implementing emulation movements in schools; encourages, motivates, and creates opportunities for the team of Teachers and Team Leaders to demonstrate their abilities, exchange experiences, learn, and be creative in Team work and children's movements in schools.
Besides, it is one of the bases to evaluate the current status of teachers in charge of the Young Pioneers, thereby building appropriate training and development plans to improve the professional qualifications and skills of teachers in charge of the Young Pioneers, meeting the requirements of educational innovation, innovation of Young Pioneers' work and children's movements.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh also shared the difficulties of teachers who work as team leaders, especially when this team currently does not have a permanent position and is mainly working part-time. Meanwhile, in the current educational work, many issues are placed heavily on the shoulders of team leaders, especially the work of moral education, ideals and life skills.
From these difficulties, the head of the Education sector hopes that good teachers and Team Leaders will make efforts to pass on their passion and enthusiasm for the Team work to other teachers, especially young teachers. In addition, they will constantly strive to build the Youth Union and Team movement in schools with many practical and useful activities, new models, good and creative ways of doing things to be replicated throughout the province.
From this contest, the Director of the Department of Education and Training also hopes that the leaders of the Departments of Education and Training, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union, the Council of the Young Pioneers of districts, cities, towns, and schools will continue to pay more attention to the team of teachers and General Leaders of the Young Pioneers, so that the Young Pioneers' work and the children's movement in schools will be increasingly promoted, bringing many meaningful values to students in schools.
At the closing ceremony, the Provincial Labor Federation awarded 3 individuals who won First Prize, the Provincial Youth Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 individuals who won Second Prize and 3 collectives of the Department of Education and Training with high achievements and active participation in the contest, namely the Department of Education and Training of Nghia Dan, Nghi Loc, Thanh Chuong district.
In addition, the Department of Education and Training and the Education Trade Union also awarded many collectives and individuals with high results in the competition.
