3 Nghe An students are official members participating in regional and international Olympic competitions.
Surpassing nearly 6,500 contestants, 3 students of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted have become official members of the Vietnamese team participating in the regional and international Olympic competitions in 2025.
The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the list of 37 students selected for 5 teams to compete in the regional and international Olympics this year, after 2 national rounds. Of which, the Math team has 6 students, Physics has 8 students, Chemistry and Biology each have 4 students and Informatics has 15 students.

To become official members, the candidates passed two rounds of exams, including the national excellent student exam with nearly 6,500 candidates; then, 187 students with the best results were summoned by the Ministry of Education and Training to take part in the second round to select teams to participate in regional and international Olympic competitions.
In this year's list of the Vietnamese team, there are 3 students fromPhan Boi Chau High School for the Giftedbecome an official member of the Vietnamese team to participate in regional and international Olympic competitions in 2025.
That is Vo Trong Khai, class 12A1, a member of the International Mathematical Olympiad team. This is a male student with outstanding achievements with a record of 20/20 points in the entrance exam to the Math specialized class - Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted. He is also the first student of the school to participate in the National Excellent Student Exam since grade 10. In grade 10 and grade 11, Khai won second prize in the National Excellent Student Exam. In grade 12, he excelled and won first prize. This is also the student who has been selected for round 2 for 3 consecutive years, to select the national team.

Along with Vo Trong Khai, two other students from class 12A3 were also selected for the Physics team to participate in the Asia-Pacific Physics Olympiad, namely Nguyen The Quan and Phan Quang Triet. These are also two students with outstanding achievements, having been awarded national excellent students many times.
In the previous school year, while in grade 11, Nguyen The Quan won a Bronze Medal at the Asian Physics Olympiad and Phan Quang Triet won a Silver Medal at the European Physics Olympiad.

As planned, the 25th Asian Physics Olympiad will be held in Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from May 4-12, 2025. Meanwhile, the International Mathematics Olympiad will be held in July 2025 in Sunshine Coast, Australia.
With this result, Nghe An, along with Hue and Bac Ninh, is the province with the third highest number of contestants in the country. The largest number in 2025 is students from the High School for Gifted Students of Natural Sciences, Hanoi National University with 9 students.
