3 elementary school students were crushed by a tree on their way home from school.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the way home from school, 3 students of Nghi Van Primary School (Nghi Loc) were crushed by a tree branch, causing all 3 to be hospitalized.

At around 4:40 p.m. on April 7, three students, including Truong Van Nguyen (class 2A3); Truong Thi Thuong (class 4A2) and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh (class 4A2), all residing in Nghi Van commune (Nghi Loc), were on their way home after school.

When they arrived at hamlet 7, Nghi Van commune, a large eucalyptus tree suddenly fell on them, seriously injuring Nguyen and Thuong; while Ngoc Anh was hit by a tree branch and suffered less serious injuries.

Upon receiving the news, the family and commune officials quickly took the children to Nghe An Hospital 115 for emergency treatment.

By 10pm on April 7, all three children were out of danger. Ngoc Anh was slightly injured and was taken home. Nguyen and Thuong were seriously injured and are still being treated at Hospital 115.

After the incident, Nghi Van Commune Police and Nghi Loc District Police mobilized forces to cut down eucalyptus trees to avoid possible conflicts and investigate the incident.
