GMC Company (Vietnam) and Sure Marker Company (China) signed a contract to produce a "clean" technology concrete brick production line worth 3 million USD.

On March 23, within the framework of the 2011 Vietbuild Hanoi International Exhibition, Green Materials Joint Stock Company - GMC (a member of Licogi 16 Joint Stock Company) and Tan Minh Phong Vu Ho Machinery Limited Company - Sure Marker (China) signed a contract to provide design, equipment, and technical services for a synchronous production line of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) bricks. The total value of this contract is 3 million USD.

GMC Company said that this “clean technology” concrete brick production line will be installed for the autoclaved aerated concrete brick factory with a capacity of 150,000 m3/year invested and built by GMC in Long An province.

Construction industry experts highly appreciate the advantages of ACC bricks with some outstanding features, such as high bearing capacity, insulation, good sound insulation...

ACC is a type of brick that is fireproof, has precise dimensions, and is lightweight, so it is very convenient for construction, especially for high-rise apartment buildings that are developing very quickly and strongly in Vietnam.

Not only ensuring high economic efficiency, the most special advantage of ACC bricks is that they are environmentally friendly due to the use of “clean” production technology.

According to the "Program for development of non-fired construction materials to 2020" approved by the Prime Minister, in the coming time, Vietnam will focus on developing the production and use of non-fired construction materials to replace fired clay bricks.

The specific goal of the program is to develop the production and use of this material to replace burnt clay bricks at a rate of 20-25% by 2015 and 30-40% by 2020.

Among the three types of unburnt building materials developed, produced and used, including cement-based bricks, lightweight bricks and other types of bricks, lightweight bricks will account for about 21% in 2015 and 25% in 2020 of the total unburnt building materials.

In particular, since 2011, high-rise buildings (9 floors or more) must use at least 30% lightweight unburnt construction materials in the total construction materials.
