To proactively publish newspapers in a timely manner to serve the province's political tasks, on November 11, 1983, the Standing Committee of the Nghe Tinh Provincial Party Committee issued Decision No. 179-QD/TU to establish a newspaper printing workshop under the Nghe Tinh Newspaper. After being assigned the entire premises of the confectionery factory by the Provincial People's Committee, the Editorial Board of Nghe Tinh Newspaper proceeded to build the workshop, purchase equipment, and recruit and train workers. The preparation work was carried out within a year with the help of the Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper. On May 1, 1985, the first Nghe Tinh Newspaper was printed at the Nghe Tinh Newspaper Printing House. This was an important event marking the opening of the newspaper printing workshop, bringing excitement to the Editorial Board, cadres, reporters and workers of Nghe Tinh Newspaper.

In the early stages of production, the printing workshop encountered many difficulties. In the context of financial shortages, old and outdated machinery, printing using lead typesetting technology, scarce materials, and a team of workers unfamiliar with how to operate the machine as well as how to make newspapers, with the spirit of promoting internal strength and overcoming all difficulties, the staff of the printing workshop quickly stabilized, ensuring the printing of newspapers and documents for the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee.

In response to the need to expand and improve printing capacity and diversify products, in 1993, the newspaper printing factory was decided by the Provincial People's Committee to establish the Nghe An Newspaper Printing Enterprise under the Provincial Party Committee's Finance and Administration Board. Entering the period of innovation, the newspaper printing factory's leaders determined that in order to stand firm and develop, there was no other way than to take advantage of external resources, promote internal resources to overcome difficulties and rise up. In particular, strengthening technical facilities and improving technological capacity is a solution to ensure development. Taking shortcuts and taking the lead, the printing house focused on reorganizing the management apparatus, rationally arranging the production line, equipping more machinery and equipment, restructuring the workforce, reducing costs, and increasing competitiveness. To improve the quality of newspaper printing, with the help of Vietnam News Agency, Nghe An Newspaper Printing House has invested in 3 more 16-page 2-color newspaper printing machines, upgraded the factory, trained human resources, and strengthened marketing activities to meet the high demands of customers inside and outside the province.

A memorable event in the journey of building and developing Nghe An Newspaper Printing House was in October 1994, the Central Party Secretariat - General Department of Posts and Telecommunications, Nhan Dan Newspaper - Nghe An Provincial Party Committee agreed to allow the opening of a Nhan Dan Newspaper printing and transmission point in Nghe An to serve the North Central provinces. And on May 19, 1995, on the occasion of the 105th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, Nhan Dan Newspaper was officially printed at Nghe An Newspaper Printing House to serve readers from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh. Nghe An officially became the largest Nhan Dan Newspaper printing point among local printing establishments.

In order to continuously serve the assigned political tasks, especially when Nghe An Newspaper became a daily newspaper, printed in 4 colors, Nhan Dan Newspaper printed in 8 pages and received many other newspapers from the Central and local levels, in 1999, Nghe An Newspaper Printing House continued to invest in more equipment, modernizing the production line. Thanks to that, newspapers, magazines, newsletters, and documents printed at Nghe An Newspaper Printing House are increasingly beautiful, ensuring quality, customers inside and outside the province come to the unit more and more, reaching out to foreign markets such as Laos.

In 2006, the Central and Provincial Government continued to upgrade the equipment of the newspaper printing house, investing in a 4-color roll printing machine, with an investment of over 30 billion VND in machines and factory upgrades, making the printing house the first printing place in the North Central region with modern printing equipment, meeting all needs for printing newspapers and other printed products with the highest quality and fastest time. In 2012, the unit invested in an additional backup roll printing machine to handle possible situations.

Since its establishment, from a printing workshop with an initial capital of 2.1 million VND, in 1993 it was transformed into an enterprise with total assets of 956 million VND and now the total assets of the unit have increased to over 40 billion VND. The facilities are well-built; the workforce is 67 people, of which 15 are university graduates. In 2013, Nghe An Newspaper Printing House strives to complete the planned targets. Printed pages reached 1,200 million, revenue reached 23 billion VND, fulfilling obligations to the state, workers' rights and policies are taken care of such as: Social insurance, health insurance, ensuring jobs, stable income for workers.

The original Party cell with 8 comrades under the Nghe Tinh Newspaper Party Committee is now a Party cell under the Nghe An Business Bloc Party Committee with 30 party members. The Party organization has achieved a clean and strong Party base for many years, and mass organizations operate effectively. The Trade Union organization is always the leading unit in the movement of workers and civil servants of the City Trade Union. Promoting the achievements, the staff of Nghe An Newspaper Printing House strive to make Nghe An Newspaper Printing House continuously develop, meet the printing needs in the province and the region, especially to complete the political task of printing Central and local Party newspapers, documents serving the politics, economy and society of the province.
