This is a very meaningful activity in the context that every year in Vietnam, more than 200,000 children have to drop out of school, one of the reasons being that they have to walk too far to get to school. According to statistics from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, many children in remote provinces often have to walk 5-10 km or more to get to school. They have to wake up at 4 am to get to class on time. These difficulties significantly affect their learning outcomes and their ability to continue studying as well as their future. It is hoped that each bicycle donated will give children more opportunities to go to school with the hope of a brighter future.
